By integrating wireless virtual reality, position-sensing hand controllers, and Bertec's trusted Balance Platform, this device provides clinicians with consistent visual and interactive environments for their patients by simulating real-life situations and gradually increasing the complexity of training.

Immersive Multisensory Training

As an add-on to the Portable Essential System, Bertec's Head Mounted Display provides portable, wireless, and interactive virtual reality for patients who can tolerate this immersive experience. Clinicians can incorporate HMD training using the results from the Portable Essential assessments, and continue to challenge their patients with sensory, vision, cognitive, and balance training.

Real-Time Feedback

Bertec Balance Advantage Software provides the clinician with a patient view on their system laptop which mirrors what the patient views in the Head Mounted Display, so the clinician can monitor the patient environment while changing training settings. Each training provides real-time scoring, as well as detailed end-of-test reports to track patient progress and share improvements with patients.

Patient Safety Features

Bertec’s Head Mounted Display has a fast wireless connection, so patient movement is not restricted by a cord and there is no lag in software communication speed. For reducing patient anxiety, this system's unique passthrough mode allows users to see their external environment while the headset is still on. The ergonomic counterweight design of this headset evenly distributes weight across the patient's head to avoid neck strain. Using the provided gait belt and adjusting the various training settings allows clinicians to tailor training specifically to their patient's capability.

Seamless Integration

Bertec’s Head Mounted Display allows for seamless integration into your existing clinical workflow. Its reliable wireless connection and portable form factor make it simple to set up in any clinic, synced patient information reduces time for creating and viewing patient profiles in Bertec products, and the provided custom carry case ensures your system remains protected.
