MOUNTING PLATES
Bertec strongly recommends the
force plate be
anchored to a rigid flat surface. Our mounting plates serve
as a footprint for the force plates. If your force plate
use involves high horizontal forces, you will not have to
worry about the force plate sliding and ruining data. A
mounting plate makes certain you will have accurate force
and torque measurements.
Standard Mounting Plates are ¾" (19 mm) thick and have the
same dimensions (L x W) as the force plates. Custom
mounting plates can easily be made to match custom designed
force plates or to allow multiple force plate configurations.
The mounting plate comes with pre-tapped
holes that match the anchor locations in the feet of the
force plate, along with leveling hardware. Typically, the
mounting plate is rigidly affixed to the floor with a high
strength epoxy or adhesive, depending on the expected shear forces. Then, the force plate is top-mounted onto
the mounting plate via four bolts.
Epoxy or adhesive, mounting hardware, and instructions are
provided with each mounting plate.
