CUSTOM FORCE PLATES
Below are samples of just a few of Bertec’s custom designed
projects. The sizes and load ranges for each were based on
the customers’ needs. If you are interested in a custom
designed load transducer, please
contact us. Our engineering consultation team will help
you in finalizing and optimizing your designs to meet your
specifications.

Cow Transducer:
This force
plate was designed for a special study on the gait of cows.
The overall dimensions are 2070 x 460 x 250 mm and the
maximum load range is 15,000 N for the vertical and 7,500 N
for the horizontal directions. For comparison purposes, the
plate is shown together with a 4060-NC force plate in the
figure. The system measures full 6-component load.
Cat Transducer:
Our design
experience enables us to design very sensitive
devices like the one shown here. This special
product was designed for a research study on
cats. The overall dimensions are 6" x 3" x 3.5"
with a maximum load capacity of 330 N for the
vertical and 100 N for the horizontal
directions. The preamplifier is housed in an
external box connected with a pigtail cable. The
system measures full 6-component load.

Dog Transducer:
This
particular transducer was designed for a
research study on dogs. It has custom required
T-slots on it so that additional accessories can
be attached. The overall dimensions are 600 x
400 x 83 mm and the maximum load range is 500 N
for the vertical and 250 N for the shear
directions. The system measures full 6-component
load.

Rat Transducer:
This
transducer was designed for use with a
special mini sized treadmill for research on
rats. It is a dual plate system used to measure
complete 6-component load system from right and
left sides separately. The size of one unit is
10" x 3" x 2.75" with a maximum load range of 60
N for all three directions.
Starting Blocks:
The figure shows an instrumented starting block
used to measure full 6-component load during the
start of track-and-field running. The overall
dimensions of the force transducer is 208 x 122
x 64 mm and the maximum load range is 1,750 N in
all three directions. |
